Our experience in China began in 2000, and has included counseling, planning, and knowledge-sharing with government ministries, municipalities, professional institutes and planning associations. We also welcome private sector clients who wish to undertake sustainable, long-range development planning.

We believe that modern and vibrant cities can be compatible with, and improved by, attention to sustainable development, regeneration of historic districts and culture, and mitigation of natural and man-made hazards.

The president of our firm is Sam Casella, FAICP, who has over 30 years experience in the field. He holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from New York’s Hunter College, and is a past president of the American Planning Association (APA) and the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).

About our logo: We have adopted the Chinese character sen as our logo because it symbolizes a forest, and we believe that the task of a planner is, symbolically, to see the whole forest, not just one tree.
